  3.     Your report on the current popularity of pool (LIVING, Dec.
  4. 26) overlooks a feature that is one of my favorites: it's an
  5. even game in which women can successfully compete with men. I've
  6. been shooting pool for about ten years, and it never fails to
  7. amaze me that men get so upset whenever they're bested by a
  8. woman. So I always make sure to let them know that the person
  9. who taught me the game was a man.
